I've just watched MTV Asia Aid. And I personally think it's one of the BEST award show I've ever watched (it's not even an award show anymore!!!). This is why:
1. They changed the award show to a charity concert, I really think it's cool and the rightest thing to do
2. I've got shivers from watching the shows (I've got really touched with the CNN reports and all), and it never happened to me during watching other award shows (well, of course)
3. Three of my most favourite bands were on the show, Simple Plan, Good Charlotte, and Hoobastank. (and, to my luck, the three of the bands' vocalists are top 3 of my 'Hottest Frontman Alive' list LoL I seriously think it's paradise, the show)

4. After 'I just Wanna Live', Good Charlotte performed another song, 'Lifestyles Of The Rich And Famous'. During this song, suddenly when you least expected, Pierre of Simple Plan came out from middle of nowhere and joined Joel. I screamed 'OMG THAT'S LIKE, THE COOLEST THING EVERRR!!!!' until I think I wake my parents up =P (sorry mom).... then after the song finished, Joel sang the last line, and as his voice trailed off, the camera shot the drums. Chuck (Simple Plan's drummer) crept out from the back and switched with Good Charlotte's drummer, followed by the rest of the band. Then they kicked in with 'Shut Up'. That was so cool. I really mean it. And, here's the news, Pierre said they will be touring with Good Charlotte! HOW COOL IS THAT??? Like buying a 2in1 shampoo, but wayyyyyy cooler! (Umm... okay, that's a bad example, but you get my point). Too bad I'm far away in Asia.... wish I could see the tour.
5. Then Simple Plan performed 'Welcome To My Life' later on the show. I was like, 'WHOA A BONUS' lol... Man, they performed TWICE! I was more than satisfied! And they donate money from every tshirt (Role Model tshirt, their brand) sold to Unicef. Really a nice thing to do, nice bunch of guys =)
6. And... okay... I've just got to report this. Simple Plan won 'Favourite Pop Act' and Hoobastank won 'Favourite Rock Act'. Man, the show really made my day!
I'm still amazed how the tsunami disaster brings people together, somehow unite people around the globe. The show's great since you get to see artists from around the world come together for a good cause. They try their best to help. I think we should too. It's not gonna hurt you to send even one single sms. But you know, even by donating a little, it'll make the difference.
So, go watch the show and donate =)
Or even buy Role Model tshirt for that matter, since they'll donate it too (and I'm sure you'll look super-cool in one hehehe so what are you waiting for?).
